I'm 18 and I started balding a few years ago. my dad has it severely, as do all the other living men in my family.

so what are my options for keeping my hair? getting more hair wouldn't be too bad either ; D

i don't think the flame letter was really justified in this case.


afaik

you can use the rogaine extra strength, which has a pretty good chance of perserving your hair with continued use


and there's the hair restoration informericals you see on t.v...

Hate to tell you this but the gene which causes baldness comes from your mother. 🙁
 
your fluids you give off during sex could be used to regenerate some of the hair cells. Instead of a shampoo use that. I'm not joking and no I haven't tried this.

If you're balding from the back, rogaine can work. Otherwise, just shave it clean. It adds an extra 15m to every other day, but it looks much better then if you would let it grow.

My family has the same problem even though I think that mother side is all bs 😛

Only the father side has it.

My older brother got the worst of it and had to shave his head around 16ish and for me it became a problem around the early 20's so I shave it after letting it grow somewhat for a month or so.

Also women dig bald men 😀

Or at least it blinds them long enough for us to hit on them a few times 😛
 
No, nothing will work, you will lose your hair, everyone will mock you, nobody will like you, women will be disgusted by you, and you will die destitute and alone under a bridge somewhere lying in a pile of trash, so just deal with it.

Not true... there are many genes that are responsible from baldness and not all come from your mother's side. My brother, father, and grandfather all have the same pattern baldness, while my mom's side of the family all the men have full heads of hair.
 
you are complaining at 18? pfft i started at 13 or so. pretty sad

I'm now 30 and really getting there. I have the picard haircut. I keep trying to talk my wife into letting me just shave it off but she won't let me =(

Shave it now.

I imagine it will suck for a while, but before long you'll feel perfectly comfortable. Don't upset yourself with the hope that it'll grow back because it won't. There is nothing you can do to make it grow back. Nothing.

People who are balding that choose to cover up, comb-over, or otherwise tease their hair into unnatural positions in an effort to fight the battle look ridiculous, sad, and silly.

Oh, and the thinner you are, the better you newly shorn head will look.
