I have a computer already, im going to buy a laptop for college. I need some ideas on what to ask for my 18th. My extended family doesn't give money for sentimental reasons. So whats the latest and greatest in technology these days? I have a job so I buy things for myself when I really want them (And I have no living expenses except food). I will probably build a new desktop in 1-2 years once im settled at college. (I start in fall) So I don't need any computer parts etc. I need some ideas folks. Nothing is too outlandish, unless it costs too much (keep it under 500 please). thanks!
 
my extended family wants to give me something. Im going out with my parents and sibling for dinner tomorrow and they are going to get me a bike (nice road bike).
