You can order your Apple MacBook w/ that glossy screen as an option now.

Edited a vowel.

That looks like it would be horribly annoying.

It does look cool in non-glare situations though.

Sony makes some so does NEC, I personally get very annoyed by glossy screens but whatever you like.

I've seen it on both my friend's mom's new Dell and my teacher's new HP.

My Dell E1705 has a fairly glossy screen - advertised as "17 inch UltraSharp? Wide Screen UXGA Display with TrueLife?" There have been one or two situations in which the glare was _very_ annoying.

I have a 700m. I bought it thinking the screen had a hard glass or protective cover like the Neovo LCD monitors used to have. It's not glass - just ordinary soft plastic that scratches quite easily. It glares like crazy - much worse than the Neovo did. So it has all the disadvantages of the Neovo with none of the advantages. It is very bright and sharp but there's nothing about it that wouldn't be better with a conventional matte screen.

Edit: I see that Neovo still makes the E-19 with the glass screen. I had one a few years ago and it was superb. Looks like they finally got a panel with a decent refresh rate too.
