I don't think Trump really wants to be president.... I just think he likes his name being heard on the evening news.... constantly.

That has crossed my mind too. With the shit he's pulling to stay at the top of the primaries there is basically no chance he could win the entire nation. Then again it seems we've mostly forgotten about his birther shenanigans, so maybe he'll find a way to skate through the general election too.

For some reason I really want to see Trump nominated and become president. I think the Hilarity of it is worth it. Another Clinton/Bush is just gonna be meh. I want to be entertained.

I'll vote for him if he changes his name to Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Trump. Then if he wins I'll move to New Zealand so I can laugh from a safe distance.

Too bad Bush is going to win it all. Everyone knows that, right? 😉

Pretty sure that with the cancellation of The Apprentice, he figured this was the most useful way to keep his fat ugly face on our TVs for the near term.

OK, really only useful in the sense that he helps to expose the kind of true-believing shit-for-brains hillbillies that actually subscribe to the shit that he even he likely does not believe.

Well the tradition goes back about 500 years I think.

The best (but probably not the weirdest) tradition is that you can just turn up and get to see your MP when he's there.

The other best one is the free snuff.

Its actually possible to see you Representative or Senator in the US. They have open office hours but it could be a very small window.
No free snuff here you have us beat

Odd US tradition is former Presidents don't have to use stamps to mail stuff from their offices.

I'm still waiting for, "This whole thing has been a prank. The most epic prank of all time. I'm awesome. Of course I don't believe a lot of those things I said. I just wanted to show people how sick some of the people in the Republican Party are to support such positions as torture and murdering civilians because of their religion. I've single-handedly imploded the Republican Party, because I'm awesome. So, all the rest of you need to acknowledge how awesome I am for doing this to help you - the majority of people who would not support me on the fake platform I was running on."

Any day now. I keep telling myself, any day now, he's going to make that announcement.

I had a similar unrealistic thought. How funny would it be that he wins the nomination then goes forward with all the progressive stuff he's talked about in the past. Higher business taxes, single payer health, lower taxes for workers....essentially Sanders platform.

That would be an entertaining way for him to burn his business.
