Guess what......... Think I found it...

http://www.newegg.com/product/Product.a...512MB+GDDR3+PCI+Express+x16+Video+Card

That's the X1800XT Crossfire card. I haven't heard of an X1800XL mastercard yet.

isn't x1800xt mastercard compatible with x1800xl? I thought crossfire automatically lower the speed of the faster card to match that of the lower speed card...?

They say in that link, that there will be no XL master card. Has to be the XT crossfire edition. and it will run at XL specs

It will run just fine with an X1800XL but I think a lot of guys are hoping an XL version comes out so that you don't have to pay the price premium for the XT version only to have it run at XL speeds. One of the current limitations with Crossfire that hopefully ATI will resolve in the near future.

^^^^^...So true. However....you could just run the X1800 XT.....or run it slower to match the XL.....

The X1800 Xfire Ed. cards are too expensive. You'd be better off just going with a single X1900XT(X) instead. I've looked into the option of picking one up myself, but most of them are about as much (or more) then an X1900XT. It's especially not worth it if you are going to pair it up with an X1800XL. Maybe the best idea would actually be to buy an X1900XT Crossfire Edition first, so when the price drops on the regular X1900's you can pick one of those up. I wish I had thought of that with the X1800XT...
