How can I get the fonts to look better?

Also, does anyone play BF at the highest resolution with this monitor? If so, how do you get the fonts to look better on the chat screen?

Try Cleartype? I've heard it doesn't do much for 1800fp's but just try it and see. Its under display properties, appearance, then advanced(i think, not on Winxp right now).

Are you running it at the native resolution of 1280x1024? If not, things will not appear as they should.

If you're using the analog VGA connector, try using the auto-calibrate button (right-most button I believe).

I own two 1800FP's.

DO NOT use Clear Type in Windows XP for the 1800FP

You will see reddish brown fonts and they are blurry. The native resolution is 1280x1024 60Hz, and regardless of the game do not run a higher resolution. I would suggest using the DVI port on the 1800FP, and purchase a video card w/ DVI if your budget allows.

You can adjust Cleartype here. I find the default setting in XP blurry, so I turn it down a few notches and it looks good on my lcd.

I've also tried the Cleartype website tweaker and it is no difference. This is also on two different computers with two different 1800FPs'.

In the monitor menu itself, try adjusting the clock setting. That was my problem when I first set mine up.

Exactly, Set your video card driver settings for force this res also in all modes. Anything other res will be blured.
