I took advantage of this, too. Thanx AngryBean.

SoulAssassin,
I was never asked for CC information.

I've been doing a little research on the Exam Cram set. Based on the reviews I've read, they are meant for someone who already knows NT & needs to pass the MCSE 2000 exams.

If you don't know much about NT, then get the Microsoft books, they go into much more detail.

There was a book a while back that was free for filling out some info.
It was called, "Oracle 24x7 Tips & Techniques"
Did anyone actually get that?
Have yet to receive mine.

I got my books a few days ago. The reason they don't ask for a CC is because they send you a bill, like Columbia House or BMG.

I got 2 of my 4 books. One is coming in a separate shipment, and the other was out of stock. They gave me a voucher that I fill out for another book (up to $40) that they'll send me free in place of the OOS book. Total cost: $20.96 for four books. They even threw in a free cheapo watch (reaaally cheapo).

LedFusion, I didn't get the Oracle 24x7 tips and techniques, but I did get the Oracle PL/SQL Tips & Techniques. It is a very good and well organized reference, as are all Oracle press books.

I also got Photoshop 5 for the web, Win2k Bible (coming in another shipment), and the XML Bible (OOS, damn, I really wanted that one :|).

hmm...now to pick out another book in place of the XML book...maybe another PHP book. hmm...decisions, decisions.

I highly recommend signing up for this. The only thing I'm worried about is cancelling...sometimes that can be a real pain in the butt.
