Well, the specs on this monitor are OK, but not that great.

The brightness is only 165cd/m2 and the response time is 50ms. You might see some ghosting in games and DVD's.

Not to thread crap, this is just a warning to prospective buyers.

And for the record, Ecost and PC Mall are both the same company.

I've had 1 experience with each of them, and would not do business with either one again.

What problems did you have???

PCMall: shipped my merchandise in a box with NO cushioning whatsoever - no peanuts, no bubble wrap, no newspaper - there was nothing in the oversized box except the item.

ECost - I ordered a Sony CPD-G400 a year and a half ago [awesome $565.00 monitor through PointClick FREE after reimbursement - those were the days]..it was the only package I have ever received in 20+ years that did not include a packing slip or receipt. When I plugged in the monitor, it didn't seem to work...turns out I had a minor problem (power cord didn't work properly - it came with a short circuit), and I called Sony for a simple replacement cord. Sony insisted on a packing slip or receipt before they could send out such an expensive item, so I called ECost and got the answer: "we don't do that". WTF? I called again a few times, stating that I would put the item into dispute...finally got someone to send the damn packing slip - took 2 weeks to receive it. This kind of nonsense wouldn't happen with a reputable company.

Aside from really hot deals, I just don't deal with companies that give me unnecessary grief.
