HI all. Now I need some help.

I have a JIUHB 0308 DLT3C 1700+. I have cut Bridge 5 in the L3 set and popped the little mutha into my KG7. Now I get no boot, no beep, no nothing. All fans and drives spin up but thats it

WTF?

HELP!

KG7 = AMD 760 chipset w/Via Southbridge, does this board even supports tbred-b?

Not officially but a couple of posters have said they have done it, but by hardwiring the multiplier. I have just popped the 5th L3 to add 8 to whatever the board thinks it is at, but no dice as yet...

Time to stump up for an Nforce 2 then? I think this is a good solution, but only if anyone has any tips on board replacement without an OS install (this current image is pretty new).

Cheers all.

I tried to pop the 5th L3 bridge on my son's KG7 also, it wouldn't work. So I popped another bridge to hard mod it to a 15X multipier. Running 15 x 140 for 2100MHz at 1.80v stable. The bios is set to the 13X and up setting.

Cheers! Maybe I'll go 15 too, then if all is well I'll pop for 17 and go from there.

Thanks.

The KG7 officially supports a Tbred 2000 and a Pal 2100. If you are able to cut the bridges then you should be able to lock in a mult. setting and hope your cpu will be able to do it. Nice OC, rogue. I may send you my 1600 and let you work your wonders on it :D

I have three KG7's in the house, I love the stability of the AMD 761 chipset. Two of them have AGOIA Palamino 1600+'s @1800MHz, and one of them has a 1.6v t-bred "B" 1700+@2100MHz. I actually messed up the multipliers on the t-bred "B" looking for a 13 or 13.5 multiplier for my old MSI 745 Ultra. I got lucky and ended up with 15X which was perfect for my 8 year old son's KG7. Of course, that gave me an excuse to get a 1700+ 1.5v t-bred "B" which is running 2337MHz on my L7S7A2. God I love these cheap AMD cpu's!
