Which one was it a 1700+ or a 1600+?

As long as it's on the Tbred B core.. if it's a Palomino core, it sucks no matter what.

but the most common favored overclocker, was indeed the 1700+

1700+ but it was the low voltage DLTC3 ones. Mine did 215x11=2365mhz @ 1.7v

Those 1700+'s T-breds are hit-n-miss, my bro got one (one of the B steppings if I remember correctly) and it wouldn't OC hardly at all. Nowhere near the 2.4ghz that the stepping was known for.
