My $69 dollar 1700+ DLT3C 0310WPMW is doing 2200 mhz right now. I got it coupled with a Thermalright SK-7 and an Abit NF7-S Ver2 and 2*Corsair 3500 XMS.

so if i get this 1700+ from excaliberpc, then i would be guaranteed a 2.2-2.4gHz?
would i get higher and have a better chance with a 2100+ 302/301/252 from excaliber and would i be able to higher than a 1700+

ill be using a thermalright AX-7 and a thermal right smart fan2 on mine will this work?

Depends on price. the AIUHB will generally go a little higher than JIUHB. The JIUHB is the best bang for the buck! I got lucky, and found a AIUHB for 70.00 dollars. Mine runs solid at 2314mhz, and 1.7v. Can't try higher on my KT266a KR7a, and 4:2:1: multiplier.

yes, get the one from the link and you'll get 2.2-2.4 assuming you have a good mobo

would an EpoX 8rda+ be a good board for overclocking?
if not, im considering between the NF7-S rev2 @ excaliber and a A7n8x deluxe rev2, which one would be better for overclocking?

Yes, the 8RDA+ is an excellent overclocking board. I have one myself. The Abit NF7-S rev 2.0 and Asus A7N8X DLX rev 2.0 are also good boards, but I have no experience with them. AFAIK, the latest batch of 8RDA+ and NF7 rev 2.0 use the latest Crush 18D chipset (otherwise known as the nforce2 Ultra 400) which has support for 200 MHz FSB (400 MHz DDR).

The 8RDA+ is the best overclocking board of those three, IMO :)

not much personal experiance with the asus board but i know many people who use it and it's a great board for overclocking. as for the 8rda+, it's an excellent OCer as long as it has C1 stepping which i believe all of them at this point do. I personally have the NF7-s and couldn't be happier. they are all great boards for overclocking, just pick the one that fits your budget

Mine does the 2.2gig dance @1.6v, 2.3 @1.68v and 2.4 @1.75. Not bad for a CPU I bought used here for $62 shipped.

Amazing CPU's.

Using a Vantec TMD fan: 2.2gig @52C load, 2.3gig @54C and 2.4 @56C load (all roughly around those temps). My case temps are reported as 38C under load, so my case temp is pretty high. With my case cover off, my temps never go above 48C under load @2.2gig overclock settings, which is what I keep it at.

Actually boots but crashes early on 3DMark tests @2.5gig and 1.8v. Might do it with a water set-up maybe, but I am very happy with what I have.

Yes, guess i could get better cooling, but I think i'll just keep it at the 2.2gig level for now. Seems to run everything fine and at a reasonable heat level.

Hehe, I agree. I'm going to work on getting my case temps down before I crank up the heat though. I don't like the fact that my case temps are near a 100F in a 68F room.

It makes sense going for the 2100+ instead of the 1700+. You have a better chance of recieving a 2100+
that is superior to a 1700+. If you buy a good 1700+ off of excalibur it will cost just as much as a 2100+.
