how do i know if the 1700+ at mwave.com is the tbred or the palomino? They have a retail box for $57 which i will buy if its the T-bred...otherwise i'll go with newegg's tbred.

What exactly does thoroughbred mean? I just bought the retail 1700+ at newegg.

EDIT: I bought the $65 one. Why is the other one $90?

Less heat (less voltage), scales to higher clock speeds (more layers & .13u), and a choice cpu for overclockers.

Basically the same old core in a smaller die process. Produces less heat due to the size.
