Im getting a H2O Cooler next month so i'll prolly wait till that comes because it stable.

If it does 2505MHz EASY with a heatsink and fan it should be at least STABLE @ 2600MHz on H2O yeah ?
your experience of keyboard freezing is more likely your CPU freezed. The clock you were running(2600mhz) was too much for your CPU to handle. Your Vcore is too low and not enough for it to operate at 2600mhz and need more cooling.

Basically you cannot even get to the desktop reliably. Cannot run any apps. Many people expect to see somebody establish a good stable oc'ed speed. it is also nice to mention what your top overclock is but a stable overclocked speed really is the key point.

To the other member, just adding a watercooling doesn't automatically boost 200mhz of clockspeed (i.e. 2800mhz). It don't work that way, not so simply. A nominal watercooling can even perform worse than a descent air cooling. There are many levels of watercooling and the overclockability is depend on the level/ effectiveness of it. In the supercooling level, of course this can be done.

My xp1700 is indestructable at 2760mhz prime95 stable and all the rest. It is superchilled h20, no pelt.

and runs a basic apps/ office apps/ internet/ PCMark2002 and some other benches/ mp3s at 2794mhz.

2794mhz - calcum10

2794mhz - PCmark2002

I would think to get watercooling would help get higher overclocks by the higher vcore it could handle. Nice chip, I have to run 2.0v+ just to prime at 2.5ghz. Good luck breaking 2.6 😉

Hi ,

Yeah "cutehamster" i know what you mean.

Im ROCK SOLID STABLE @ 12.5 x 203 @ 2537.01MHz @ vCore 1.75v temps 43 idle - 48 load 🙂 Thats Pime95 running for 9 hrs.

BTW thats a monster OC you got there , dude i was looking at the LN2 Cylinders on HardCoreWare and i just wanted to ask how long does the LN2 last . i.e. ( 50 ml of LN2 how long before it evaporates ? ).😀

Oh yeah once my website is back up im gonna get my WCPUID shots and post them mabye tomorrow on my site and the results of the benchs ive done and stuff. 😉.

I have a WCPUID shot with my EPoX UsDm shot next to it with the forum in the background i wanted to post , does anyone know how to post clipboard pics or convert the file to be put on a website?

phpdog, thanks..

you have a great chip. That chip is still better than many other "good" xp1700s.

running over 2.5ghz at prime stable on air is impressive. 🙂

as for the LN2 cooling, i don't do it, so i do not know. Check out over at H or xtremesystems forum.

and good luck to you. 🙂

I wonder if the XPMW version would do about the same??
it seems XPMW and UPMW are pretty competitive. I'd say the user would get great result from either one.

I hope you're right about the XPMW. We'll know tomorrow if the myths holds true. 🙂

Dang I'm gunna need ta do that pin mod on my Athlon XP, since i cant push the FSB any moire it seems and get it up to speed! lol only 2.25GHz for me right now, however sandra shows it performing better than a Athlon XP 2800+ and 3000+ bartons. Does that sound right to anyone else? I'm only runnin mine at 1.6volts, lol.

mine is XPMW 0310 😀

it does 2.5+ghz@ 1.9v w/ SLK-800 + 60mm Delta38 for prime95 stability 🙂

I don't think I can afford 1.9v. 😀 I most I can do is 1.8V on air cooling as I'm only using a Sk6.

why are you selling? haven't you pushed your cpu yet?

I'm selling cuz I wanted to buy shady's barton...but alas he might be selling it to someone else 🙁

sorry infinite, he was there first 🙁
maybe you should think twice about selling it now, i certainly regret selling my 0310 WPMW
btw, phpdog, link doesnt work (yes i dragged the link)

Have you tried pushing the xp1700???

OMG! Very nice OC!!!
It's amazing what the Thermalright SLK-900 can do! 😀
I should've bought one instead of SK7.

Nope. I tried going for 2.3GHz, but it took me like 1.75 volts and even then it wasn't stable. I think it was my board crapping out on me, but anyways if someone else can get it higher, then they'll be pretty darn happy with what they buy.

4712MHz
2.25 Volts
Athlon XP 1700+ t-bred DL3TC 0311
Abit NF7-S Rev 2.0 Bios Version1.4 Kryotech G2

http://www.overclockers.com

From overclockers.com I gotta wonder how accurate these are, but dude, if that's real, someone has a rig that'll not be obsolete for long time.... assuming that chip doesn't die lol

to get a xp1700 to a 3ghz mark, you will need supercooling methods. 226watt pelt + superchilled water could do it, or just go with a prometia setup, which is very expensive.
