17 yr old trades up from a cell phone to a porsche on craigslist

This is where the kid shows he's an idiot. A) the Bronco would be CHEAP to repair. B) He really thinks a Cadillac Escalade is going to be cheaper than Porche?

Ahhhh... yea; by a long shot. The Cadillac most places have parts for them on the shelf, porsche not so much.

more like he's showing his inexperience. i commend the kid for the work it must have taken to get these deals. very impressive indeed.
 
That is pretty sweet! Has to be smart enough to have done that in the first place, how many of us have done it?
 
Not a big car guy but from what I heard Porche's are expensive to repair so I can see why he would want to trade again... but an Escalade? How does the kid expect to pay insurance on either?
 
Very nice. I wonder if I could trade my way up to a ducati. I have a domokun stuffed animal or an ipod nano 3rd or 4th gen 4g to trade.
 
Only people on ATOT wouldn't be impressed by this, and even go as far as to act like it's no big deal. I sell a ton of shit on CL and this would not be easy, in fact I'm saying now I couldn't pull this off. 99% of the fools on here acting like given 2 years anyone could do this would epic fail themselves if they tried.

Less time yeah, but it would have been much more work. 2 years to do this doesn't mean he worked his ass off for 2 years. He'd list something on CL and wait for a response. I would guess the actual hours invested here were low for the payoff he got. The fact is 2 years ago he had a shitty $20 phone, and with some patients he now has a Porshe. I fail to see where the stupid is here, unless it's a person like you who's making it out like he worked 40 hours a week for 2 years, which isn't the case.
