17" monitor $69 shipped (after $60 MIR) at OM - last day

This is from the 7-12-03 Office Max circular, and today is the last day to take advantage of this deal (I just tried it last night - sorry for the late notice).


Here's what I did to get it for $69.07 (after MIR, taxes included, shipped)


- Used a "$30 off $150 purchase" officemax.com link

- ordered one Logisys 17" true flat monitor (item # 20200881) - $189.98

- ordered OfficeMax pencils (item # 20327521) - $.99

- initial total = $171.75 (after $30-off discount, with taxes)


- called their toll-free # and asked them to apply the $40 instant rebate that was advertised for this monitor in their 7-12-03 circular (which they did with no problem)


- new total = $129.07 (with taxes; new total was confirmed on new invoice that they emailed me)

- final total = $69.07 (after $60 MIR, taxes included, shipped)



NOTE: I ordered the $.99 pencils to make sure my initial purchase total would still be over $150 (in order to get the $30 discount) after they took into account the $40 instant rebate.

So you placed the order first, and then called the # to have them readjust the price, right?

Yes. I was told to do it this way by one of the officemax.com CSR's. It worked without a hitch for both myself and a friend of mine.
