It's been a long time since i've looked into LCD's (my previous experience was not a good one, it had 2 dead pixels in the middle of the screen :() My question to you is this, what is a good LCD to pair up with my 9700 pro, for playing games like World of Warcraft, Rome total war, and some fast paced stuff like UT2K4. My only concerns besides pretty good performance are price (around $300, less is always good), size 17', reliability, and being able to tilt the monitor (my desk is set up in a way that the monitor is elevated about 5 inches from the rest of the desk.) I'd love to hear your experiences with a monitor that you really like, and your reccomendations are always appreciated! Thank you. :)

Samsung 740B. I couldn't recommend an S-PVA because none of the 17" S-PVAs have Overdrive (as far as I know) to reduce response time. But the 740B should be a decent TN. The Samsung 173P+ (don't forget the plus) actually is 17" S-PVA/Overdrive but it's hard to find.

Edit: 740B not 740T

I have the 730b, I absolutely love it.
although again its a TN panel
not sure what changes the 740b has over the 730b though
NewEgg doesn't sell the 730b, but BestBuy does, and can usually be found with some good rebates. I got mine for $330 and got $80 in MIR
so roughly $250
