MicroCenter has some LCD's on sale, the 17" Proview (PL713s) is 200$ after two (2) 30$ rebates, and the 19" is 300$ after two (2) 30$ rebates as well.

Here are the monitors @ Newegg for specs:
17" http://www.newegg.com/app/View...=24-184-027&depa=0

19" http://www.newegg.com/app/View...=24-184-029&depa=0

The 19" is closer in price to newegg, but the 17" is cheaper by a bit more.
I picked up 2 of the 19"'s @ MicroCenter and have 3 displays going, the quality is 'ok' not recommended for those who require high quality displays. They sit next to my Samsung 910t LCD, which is also using DVI... there is a noticeable quality difference.

Here is MicroCenter's ad... http://www.microcenter.com/ima...s/1204b_page01_760.gif the 17" is advertised on the upper right hand side of the ad, the 19" is inside the ad.

Price ends 2 Jan 2005, so... if interested might have to jump the gun and check out your nearest MC quick after new year's day (they're closed new years day).

This is also my first 'deal' post, so please be easy on the pessimism and negative feedback! lol
~ Also, I scanned/searched the posts for this deal, and didn't find it. So if it's a repost... I apologize.

Happy buying!

Hmm the samsung 910t has 700:1 or 800:1 or 1000:1 contrast and these proview's are 450:1
The reason why I said the samsung has that many different contrast ratios, because different sites stated different contrast ratios! I dunno why, but they listed different specs for the same model!
There should be a significant difference. Also the Samsung has DVI etc etc. 🙂
Also a large price gap.

Anyways, great prices for those 17" / 19" LCDs! I can really tell the LCD prices are falling.

Why? Because the text is larger! For those that don't like to sit with their face up against the monitor, 19" LCD's are a god send!

Regarding the 17" Proview, I bought of of these from Staples on Black Friday. The text is nice and crisp when using analog input but the colors are a little washed out. Should be fine for general usage so long one keeps the price in mind😀
