You guys/gals that bought the C-4000 will love it!

I use mine to take pictures of my kids playing sports amongst other things and have been amazed at the quality of the shots. Set the camera to the "Sports" setting and "Sequential Shooting". The camera takes great sequential shots even though it's not on the AF sequential setting. I got some great shots of my kids swinging the bat, shooting the basketball, etc... The focus is amazing - you can see the baseball clearly and almost read the writing on the basketball even though it's in motion. I'm sure you guys who actually know how to set the manual settings can get some even better shots. Good luck!!

Can someone post the SKU please? I'm calling the stores, and they're saying the item # is not the same online as it is in the store.

I see people posting serial #'s, and number that are above the SKU, but no one is actually posting the SKU.

Did you even bother to read the original post? The item numbers are included.

Item# = SKU (####-####) / Online & B&M / OM Monkeys Lie

got myself a cendyne dvd-rom at OM.
Couldnt find the HP Photosmart 7150 printer for $49 in stock. Tried to pricematch it at Staples. At the first store the manager was a total dick, said he cant price match to 'sale and special' prices and wouldnt show me a copy of pricematch policy (he said he didnt have one with him). The second store manager was fine with it and gave a 10% discount according to the policy. so ended up paying $46.10 for the printer. a good one too.

Thanks pinan for your response... looks like I got at least 2 samsungs. My 3rd has a somewhat different serial #, but the same sku, so i probably have a samsung on that one as well.

Next issue: In the specs it says "win 2k server not supported"... I haven't installed it yet to know for sure, but I'm assuming this will be a problem since i use win2k Server. Anyone know if this is applies to the DVD hardware, or maybe it's just referring to the bundled software -- PowerDVD.

A dvd or cd rom should work on almost any pc (with the exception of new drives on REALLY REALLY old puters).... I had this dvd from a few months ago... worked on win98/xp home/xp pro/2000 pro/2003 standard server/2003 enterprise server/Linux

I am guessing it is the software since a bunch of stuff doesn't work w/ XP or 2003.... just make sure when trying to install on win/2k server, install as admin... should work fine.

I checked my local store (Greenville, SC) the day after the original post. The girl said she showed 8 drives in the system, and no cameras. She asked the manager to get me a drive out of "lock up". He was in there for maybe ten seconds and came out, mumbled "no drives" and turned off suddenly.

I called him out in front of the whole store, asking him to double check. The little weasel was lying through his teeth.

Oh well, such is life.

EvilYoda, did you pick it up yesterday or this morning? I'm wondering if the price is still $9.00 in their system.

Has anyone checked the cd-rw and dvd-rw drives for a possible clearance on them? I'm thinking I might stop by today when im in the area and have them check. I've been meaning to do it for days now but never got around to it.

Wow, I'm surprised this deal is still alive....

Do you mean that they are still selling for $9.00 (not confirmed) or that there are still some left? If its the "Still some left", then don't be......Someone will post about 3 months from now that they found a few and everyone will start looking again. Happens time and time again! 🙂

People Make sure you dont call the employees will deny they have any and buy it themselves learn grasshopper learn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Yes there is software.

I got PowerDVD and the drive in the box was a Samsung.

Another person IM'd me and said they got winDVD and a Lite-on in the box.

if anyone has an extra cendyne/Samsung SD-616Q i'd be interested in purchasing it for a slight mark up + shipping. PM me. i need a faster DVD ripping drive.
