Just noticed yesterday that the drive isn't on their site anymore...what're the chances that the orders are all going to be cancelled?
 
I just saw the ad (paper ad). However when I look up by part number, it shows an internal CDRW drive. Don't know if they recently changed it, or I am doing something wrong.

I was unaware that the drive was in a paper ad? I just saw it through this post on OT, went and ordered it. But the link is dead, and you can't search the p/n on their site anymore. I got a backorder email, so hopefully I'll still get it, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

There's a shocker, has Micro Center ever actully had anything worthwhile in stock? Even when you call and ask, and they say yes, and will hold it for you, and you drive down within the hour, somehow things are still out of stock. OK that could just be my experience.
