I love this monitor, by far I have to say that Quake 4 is the most graphically intensive game on any system with maximum settings and AA buffed up. Anyways enjoy!

Most definately, I only had the x1950xt for 4 days and the GTS whooped it in every single game, well worth the extra money imo!

Very nice indeed. In January I will make my decision to buy one (GTS or GTX). Thanx for teasing me.

I tried using the Nhancer HDR filtering option, but I'm not sure if I noticed any difference, the only jaggies I saw were very minor and mostly around the imperial city buildings, I'm still trying to work my way around HDR filtering.

What kind of FPS do you get on Oblivion outdoors at that res, with all settings maxed out?

Very playable FPS, I tested it and confirmed it to be 35-60, on average about 55.

Nothing negative, no ghosting, it seems to one of the best gaming Lcds I've tested, I had to adjust the contrast ratio for myself from the nvidia control panel which gave it an even crisper image quality. The only probable downside, if any, would probably be the stand of this monitor, it's not very tall, but I managed to easily keep a nice hard book beneath the stand to give it some more height :)

Awsome!

This appears to be the cheapest 22'' model around (aside from the black friday westinghouse at $199.99 if you were so lucky to get)

Got any digital camera pics of the screen in action, hows the vertical - horizontal viewing angle?

Sorry for all the questions, I am just really curious since I've never seen one in stores

All of the 22 inch WS moniters currently available use a 6 bit TN panel which does a pretty good job in games, but is a little shaky when it comes to video & photo color reproduction, also they all have pronounced backlight bleed along the top & bottom edge. I was about to buy the Gateway FPD2275W, but after I looked at it set up next to a couple of non-TN panels at my local BB I decided to hold off & do more research.. now I'm leaning towards the Gateway FPD2185W 21 inch model at about the same price or the BenQ FP241W 24 inch for a lot more money.

Regardless of all that, the only thing that really matters is that the OP is happy with his new toy... congrats! :)

Edit: Anyone that wants to look at one of these will have better luck finding one of these nearly identical models setup for viewing at a local store... it seems that virtually no B&M location carries the Accer:

Gateway FPD2275W, Sceptre x22wg-Gamer, Samsung 225BW, Westinghouse LCM-22W2, HP w22

I found the Sceptre at Costco for $329 & actually aside from the cheesy stand I liked it the best overall, plus its got the highest contrast ratio & (supposedly) supports full 1080p... all the rest were available for viewing at either Circuit City or Best Buy.

i went to look at the acer 22 inch yesterday ...the problem is they were running the monitor via vga and a splitter. So with tons of monitors, the image looked absolutely terrible (on all of the monitors). But, i did get to see how flimsy it was on that stand. The size....sure was nice (though not as tall as i expected) :)

so viewing it at a local store does not help. :)

I must say that these games look awesome, probably are the best looking games till this date. BF2142 is no where near BF2 in terms of graphics, its a good leap forward and I was impressed overall. Quake 4 will still beat any system till this date with the parallax mod especially, Oblivion is also a breath taker!

Based on these screenshots I went out and bought one of these. Circuit city has them today for 299, with a $10 rebate. There is also a 40 off 200 coupon around that they "might" accept (they took mine). For the 279-ish I paid out the door I am extremely happy with it.

I was originally going to get a 241WZ, I still may. The acer definitely is not perfect by any means, but for the price I couldn't be happier.

For any interested, that Circuit City sale ends today! (12/16/06)

Yeah I know what you mean... most places you try to look at LCD's have these problems, however I was lucky in that both my local Best Buy & Costco had the Gateway & Sceptre respectively hooked up directly to a PC via the DVI cable & at Best Buy the moniter was even running at native resolution (gasp!) so I was able to get a pretty good feel for the overall appearence of the screens.

I ended up cutting loose the purse-strings & buying a BenQ FP241W 24 inch model instead of these based on a ton of reading, mainly in the display section of Hardocp forums & I strongly suggest anyone shopping for a new LCD moniter do the same.

I figured afterwards that AA + HDR would only work from the nvidia control panel settings, I'll try to post some AA pics soon.
