Yes, they're OFFICIALLY useless. I should complain to their management about this... they say you can redeem Banana Bucks for "stuff".... well NOTHING doesn't qualify for that. :|
 
I thought it was the coolest thing for about 2 days a couple years ago...never saw any cash because of it of course...
 
I fiddled with it for awhile...never got anything...
Somehow my brother got a little stuffed monkey.
His cats love to play "punch the monkey."
Although it usually very quickly degrades to "claw the monkey" and then "pounce on the monkey" and then "Bite the monkey's throat" at which point they're so riled up they start mistaking the monkey's throat for my finger and I have to give up.
 
I need to declaw my cat... she scratches too easily. :| Which is too bad since she's so !#$ cute... sleeps on my chest at night. 😀

Bump for 10,080 stupid banana bucks.
 
Do not declaw your cat unless you are 100% sure the cat will never be outside again in his/her life. They need those for self defense.
 
I got a monkey once. I cut the stitching on his ass, stuck a 1/4 stick in him and glued the hole shut with the little fuze sticking out of his "hole"...

Nice boomed, nice fried monkey pieces. THis time the monkey wasn't cool cause he threw his poo, but rather his arms and legs and head and stuffing and... 😉

Don't. It's a procedure so cruel, it's been banned in some places. Look at your hand. Now imagine cutting off your fingers at the first joint. Not only is declawing painful, it can lead to a host of behavioral problems, anything from inappropriate elimination to biting.
 
Treeloot aside, my cat has a genuine problem of swatting people. :| One of them was a 1.5 year old just below the eye, leaving a deep, permanent scar.

I can't seem to teach her not to claw.... other than keeping them regualrly cut, I'm at my wits' end... I don't want to lock her up anytime someone comes over - she'll only get worse without exposure to other people.

Belive me, I'm aware how bad it is to declaw a cat (amputating at the first knuckle to remove a fingernail...) but this cat is getting to be a menace to visitors.

If you're worried about the cruelty of declawing, just have it put to sleep. Much nicer, no more violent kitty problem.
 
In my experience with cats, I will say that with very few exceptions anyone petting a cat near its tail is asking to have his hand ripped open. Very few cats tolerate this. The really interesting thing is when you warn people and then they have to try it out so they can see for themselves.

Them: "You mean I shouldn't pet the cat like this?...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! DAMN ANIMAL! Why didn't you tell me not to do that?" <runs to sink to wash wound>

If the cat is really a problem, take it to a humane society, it will cost some money, but you know that the cat will not be euthanised.

Yeah, and I have about 10,000 "blue rewards points" from American Express, which I think is just about enough to get a crappy movie on DVD that I don't want.
 
or stuff it in a jar and pour flourescent paint and oil all over it.. then put it on a lamp fixture and have a kittylavalamp...
