The point of this deal is to get the 119.99 160GB hard drive, bump the total cost to $150 and then use the $30 rebate you would have gotten in the mail. The best way to do this is to find something that costs $30.01 but after rebates is as cheap as possible. Looking in the Sunday Ad there are a few options, but getting the external floppy drive is cheapest.

Some more things to get:

HD 59.99 + 14.99 pc 133 SDRAM (2366-2338) + filler ($.03) I suggest the $0.99 erasers(20327530) or $1.09 paperclips(20047496)= $45.97 or $46.07

if you have the coupon all you have to do is spend $150 at OM and give them the coupon. You can use it online too and there is free shipping over $50. You probably would have recieved it in the mail by now if you were going to get one. I comes in in a 7.5x 10inch hard paper mailout folded in half with the 30 off 150, 10 off 30, and 10 off copymax coupons.
 
It's a super deal with the HDD and the floppy, but the USB floppy drive is not available online. Unless you can convince the store to accept it, it will be a warm deal.
 
Actually, because this does not involve price matching and rebates -- which by the way almost never works--there really shouldn't be any problem. This is just a standard purchase with a coupon. I have never had problems before with using a coupon on something that also had rebates.

As for getting the coupon you might be able to call them, 1-800-283-7674, and if you manage to stay on the phone long enough to speak with a manager they might give you a coupon number.
 
I called them and they said that coupon i can only get by mail, individually. Man, ....
And seem like they only mail to specìfic people
 
I'm still waiting on mine from the 8x DVD+/-RW a while back. They're supposed to take up to 12 weeks but they mixed my name up with somone else. But anyway, it says I've been approved so I'm sure I'll get it.

I don't get that. I've sent in at least 2 dozen mad dog rebates and except for the 3 I sent in within the last month or so (2 5200 PCI cards on different offers and 1 6-in-1 DVD burner), I've received every single one of them.

I had a problem with one rejection, but I called in and it was taken care of. :shocked:

That started sending them out to me after I purchased from them online the first time. Maybe you can look on FW for a code..
 
oh yeah, thanks for reminding me with this thread. I have a bunch of still valid OM coupons I got in the mail:
$20 off $100 phone only

I was thinking of getting the MD floppy drive as I havea need for a backup. I got one from OM some months ago and it works ok, even with drivers for W98. I got the rebate back then and MD has been ok for rebates, just be sure to register your products online before filling out your rebate forms and include the registration code on the rebate form.
With all the shopping I do at OM you'd think I would get more of those coupons. I don't.

I tried buying this over the phone, and the salesperson said they can't accept coupons on products that have mail-in rebates...
