Slightly, but the car is pretty much the same. For him to make fun of FWD compacts is pretty hypocritical (to me) since his car is based on one. And the model that's below his GSX is also FWD.Originally posted by: scorpmatt
ah, then yes the engine is the same, maybe brakes too. but that suspension would have been changed to accomodate for the awd systemOriginally posted by: TuffGuy
I said GST and GSX. GST = TSi, and GSX = TSi AWD.Originally posted by: scorpmatt
ESi 2.0L 140hp I4
TSi turbo (non-awd) 2.0L 210hp I4
TSi AWD 2.0L 210hp I4
I4 is inline 4, 2.0 is the liters. nowhere on that page does it give the engine code.
Edit: also note that the torque increased but at a lower rpm
And as "fast" as his car was back in the day, my slow car is only .3s slower today. Without the help of a turbo. And brand new, with full warranty. I just hate it when people are condescending.
what kind of car do you have? to me, there is something about n/a engines that you can't get from forced induction. and, personally, a fwd car isn't the greatest thing to be used for racing, the take offs are not as good as rwd or awd and they aren't as well balanced. but hey, i drive a fwd, so what can i say right?
usually high output NA engine (s2k, RSX-s etc.) have really high compression as is, so it's hard to add forced induction reliably (unless you wanna drive on race gas 24-7).
not really, you have to lower the compression. but then whatever your adding needs to increase your overall power higher than what the NA engine already could do.
