For the last few months, my SGI 1600SW randomly turns off and on, as if it briefly lost the video image (the power LED on the front turns yellow, then green immediately as it comes back on). It sometimes seems to go for days without doing so, and once in a while it happens several times back to back.
I thought it might have to do with the heat, but its been quite chilly here lately and it doesn't seem to make a difference. Nor does it matter what is being displayed (so I doubt its the video card overheating or something).
Any ideas?
