1600 vs 1333 ASRock P67 Extreme4

I've been running my ASRock Extreme 4 with 2600K for about a month - everything is fine.

The mobo detects my Ripjaws 1600 memory as 1333, or at least that is what the Bios defaults to. At 1.5V BTW.

Tonight just for kicks I changed the BIOS to run it at 1600, and left everything else on AUTO.

QUESTION - any reason I should NOT set it to run at its stated speed (ie I paid for 1600 memory - probably should have saved a few bucks to get 1333). From the benchmark articles I've seen, there is like a 1% increase in performance. Am I putting more wear on my RAM?

Timings remain 9-9-9-24 while set at AUTO in the bios and VRam is same at 1.50V.

Should I leave it, or go back in and just set the speed to AUTO which will take it back down to 1333mhz?

I have the exact same setup, and did the exact thing with the memory. From my understanding the memory should be fine, no added wear.
