16 Pipe X800GTO from Sapphire $199 + $5 shipping

When the X800GTO2 was $199 it was a great deal. However, there is a point when this card ceases to be a great deal. To get the best from it you should consider upgrading the hsf which will be another $30. Add that to the price some companies are now charging for the card ($240 shipped) and you are at $270. X850 XT's go for $299 on ebay, or less for used ones.

Mine arrived. I havent installed it yet since my rig is busy atm. But Ill try and do it when I get home. Gonna compair FPS in cod2 demo with it and a 7800gt stock but modded pipes vs full stock.

ARGH! Fedex ground has screwed me. 😉 Ordered a card from Allstarshop on the 2nd, shipped the 3rd with an expected delivery date of the 7th. Somewhere along the line it sat in Texas for two days and they changed the delivery date to the 10th.

Might I ask when you ordered? And when you got the tracking info?

I ordered last Sunday, 10/2/05, got my tracking # on Thursday, 10/6/05. To be delivered on the 10th.

For those of you complaining about price gouging, step back for a second. I love a hot deal just as much as anyone else. When I see a company raise a price because of demand, I just curse myself for not acting sooner and move on. Don't sit there and cry like a baby because a company, which operates for a profit, raised the price. They're here to make a profit, plain and simple. Price gouging is a serious charge, felony in some states, so before you defame a company, leave accusations of price gouging to victims of natural disasters paying $6/gallon for gas, $5/gallon for water. etc. Makes your concern a little petty doesn't it?

I'll get off my soapbox now. Back on topic. Ordered one from atacom yesterday, and can't wait until it comes. Thanks for the heads up on this deal, I think it's hot up until about $230 (total).

Hmmm, I think perhaps my problem was because I got overzealous and installed those omega drivers first. After I unlocked the 4 extra pipelines, the omega's wouldn't recognize the video card. I then switched to the drivers on the CD provided by Sapphire, and it recognized everything just fine, and ATITool gives me a max overclock of 559.25MHz core, and 629.19MHz memory (YMMV). I think in order to get everything working as it should (getting much better FPS than my 6800GT @ Ultra speeds), I'll have to reformat and use a clean install of WindowsXP since I did switch drivers like 4 times. Too much work for me, so I just switched back to my 6800GT. Anyone want to buy a 2day-old Sapphire X800GTO2 lite Retail? :-D I'll probably ship faster than any of these online retailers 🙂. I've already put it into my FS/FT thread. Anyways, good luck everyone with this card!

That's interesting. I (and others here I think) ordered mine and was charged for it on Friday (9/30/05). I received a cancellation notice Wednesday (10/5/05) stating that they had no inventory and didn't know when they might get any more so they though it in my best interest to cancel the order. I was going to refrain from giving them yet another public lashing at RR, but I guess I will have to amend that stance now. Did you happen to get it for the $203.xx price, or did they keep mine back to sell it to you at a higher price?

I bought it when the price was at $195.51 + $11.90 S/H, UPS 3 days. I'm very surprised.

Me too! I ordered 10/1 am and it won't arrive until 10/12, but it's supposedly on its way. I couldn't believe it. After everyone was saying Page Computers was sold out and cancelling orders. I never did get an email after the intial order received. I tried the online stuff to no avail. So as a last ditch effort I called them. They gave me a tracking number over the phone and said it had shipped the day before! I went straight to UPS.com and entered my number, nothing. I called them back and they said it wasn't in the system yet, but it had shipped. Checked it the next day and sure enough the card is on it's way. Now lets see if I get what I ordered and it actually works. 🙂

Now I'm wondering if pagecomputers has sent me the right product...with my luck, I probably get a regular GTO, I will update as soon as I get the package.

You could just bios mod it to whatever speeds you want. Or (if people are right in saying it's Identical to x850 xt pe except bios and cooling) flash it to an xt pe as long as those speeds are stable.
