ooo that's nice. I want to try it first to make sure the UI is the way I like it. Does anybody know if compusa has it on display?

also, is there any sort of hack out there to get it working as a usb mass storage device? (without extra drivers)

i doubt CompUSA will carry the DJ.

also, i don't think there are drivers to make it a generic usb mass storage device. that would be cool though.

Does this include the in-line remote? It isn't mentioned in the text and is conspiculously absent from the photos.

Also, does anyone know what "1-year Advanced Exchange" means?

Advanced Exchange means they will sent you a replacement unit without waiting for you to ship defective one to them.

has anybody used the fm transmitter and car charger for these? How good do they work?

The general consensus is that FM transmitters suck. I wouldn't bother. I have a Belkin Tunecast that is horrible in a car and only good for when I am near an actual stereo.

As for the car charger. I havn't used one. With 16+ hrs of battery life, I have yet to find a day that I use up the juice and need to recharge. Also, car chargers can be had on ebay for less.

FM transmitters suck because it more or less = radio, and radio is at lower frequency and bitrate. The only other 2 solutions that are easy are a tape adapter, and the best, to hook it up directly to a auxilliary input. Your headunit may or may not have one, and you can integrate one with a stop to Radioshack and some electronics know-how. For me, it's just a matter of making things neat after that.

Does the 15gb model come with a carrying case?

I don't think so. But in all reality (IMO) it is worthless. When in it's case you can only access buttons that are on the side (volume, power). I don't even use mine.
