*gulp* and now the waiting begins! At least it's over!

it's not over till you get word back. you know better than to think you're out of the woods now.

Well, the getting the application done part is over, that's what was causing me stress at the moment. I know that I have at least a month before I know whether I'm in the program or not.

And I do have a year before I'm actually done with the program. Oy.

good luck orsorum

i've been accepted to do my master's in accounting at michigan and i plan to get my CPA after that

Congrats! Are you doing a one-year program?

I'm following a similar path, I'll get my MPAcc next June, and I'll either get an MBA straight after or go work; at the rate I'm going I'll probably just work full-time for three years (getting my CPA and CMA in the process) before going back for my MBA.

Im working on my application right now. deadline is may 1 and i just started the ball rolling. sort of making me nervous.

what program are you looking at cerebus?

Im applying to a masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering program.
I would have to work full time and go to school part time to pay tuition and rent. Ive been out of school for 3 years already.

wow good luck. working + school must be tough

in my program, if i get selected to teach a class each term, i get my tuition paid and that would really help me

Masters in Tax, actually. Master of Professional Accounting, to have the exact degree name. 😛

you don't need more than a BA to do accounting, i guess. I wanna do a MS in eco.

you actually need a master's to meet the new 150 credit hour rule to become a CPA. this 150 credit hour rule is valid in 48 out of the 50 states

So you decided to not pursue a law degree?

Not at this point in my career, I'd rather focus on the accounting aspect of it and get some experience in consulting, work for a while. The desire is still there, but I'm going to put it off for a significant amount of time for now.
