Since many people aren't religious, they aren't influenced by the founders of those religions. Those names mean nothing to me.

However, most people have used a car or a bike.

I'm not religious myself but I still think religion is one of the biggest factors in defining society/gov't around the around. Also, IMO the ideas of the people above have pretty much been accepted as is by the followers, while the ideas of inventors are often modified and improved upon by other people, who share the credit.
