To appease both sides, I ended up 1/2 blonde, 1/2 black. It turns out my tips and lower layers refused to bleach because I actually dyed them black back in 1999 and forgot to inform the stylist about it. He did the best job he could, but wasn't happy with the finished product so he's going to finish the coloring in a few weeks (next open appointment time).

I'm very happy with the cut, being layered it's very light and moves well. I'm not used to the color yet, but maybe in time... I ended up going for highlights/streaks instead of all-over bleached blonde in order to avoid the "cheap import car model" look. All in all, it cost about $20 for materials and coffees for both of us. I had a fun time, and look forward to seeing the finished product when I go back to see him again.

that's definitely a lot more natural than what i had in my mind.

i had a roommate with BLONDE chunks in her hair. serious blonde chunks. she eventually grew them out though, but it just didn't look right as it looked like she picked up a bunch of hair, put it in a thing of bleach, and pulled it out.

it's not bad at all, that color. i thought you were going be bottle blonde by tonight!

sigh long hair. i'm contemplating growing my hair long again, but i remember the long hairs i'd find everywhere (i shed) along with the pain of taking care of it. i've had shoulder length hair for a few years now.
 
Very nice tomato, much better than the full blonde look. I actually really like highlights in asian girls hair

I hope you're complimenting her looks on pictures you've seen in the past, and not these particular ones, considering you cant see anything but her hair. 😉

I agree with most guys here. Blonde Asian is like attention h.... U know.

I think highlight is as far as you should go.

My sis... I don't know what she toll the stylist but they turned her into those hispanic h.. U know.. It's like dirty blonde and it's her entire head.

I teased her "why haven't I seen my sis? And who is this hispanic girl been living in our house?" 😀
