153mhz memory recomendations? help me out guys :)

Ive finally sussed that its my ram thats holding back my KT7 so am looking for ram that will run with ALL the ram related bios options at their max 😀

If i was to get a couple of sticks of EMS PC150 HSDRAM will this do the job? If not what are the best settings i can expect to do with this ram at 153mhz?

If u guys can recommend any alternatives be appreciated,

I'd look into getting some Mosel Vitalic Revision 2. This stuff seems to do the best in reviews, though I haven't seen any reviews of the PC150 HSDRAM. I know my Mosel does 143 CAS2 perfectly, & I think a lot of people are getting 150+ CAS2.

Check out John over in FS/FT, he frequently has it.

Check out the site in my sig, we just did a review of the Mushkin rev2 a couple weeks ago. Yeah, the site itself is now pretty dead but we've got another project that's coming up...🙂

Anyway, plugs aside...we got to 160MHz at cas2 with this stuff, and in regards to the memory Viper mentioned, the HSDRAM 150, it doesn't go as high. I can go look for the review of that if you want. Let me know.
 
So u guys reckon i be better off getting the rev2 HSDRAM instead of the PC150 stuff?

Seems weird that the rev2 be better than their PC150 stuff their touting for overclocking @ 153mhz :/

Im goin to order tomorrow so will have a look around for some more info/reviews on the rev2 before plucking out the plastic 😉

Nope, another guy from the site reviewed it. But mine does just as well...it's at 150 right now, I'd push it higher but my CPU doesn't like it. 🙂
 
Just to clear it up for you..the HSDRAM is the 150mhz rated stuff. The rev2 is PC133, but it's really rated at 143 because of its 7ns memory timings.

My Crucial Cas2 PC133 seems to crap out above 146 🙁 but goes a bit higher in the P3V4X :/
Lookin like the KT7 is a bit more piccy about ram than the asus 🙁
If the rev2 can approach 160 then should give me a bit of headroom for doin the 153 im after 😀
