The way I see the DLC it is headed for it's death knell from centrists you would think if they were outnumbered they would fight tooth and nail...
Boxer is cool but feinstein and zell are a very bad sign. The senate dems might as put the damn R next to their name.
She also told me a lot of people are feeling like this she has called today.

I am voting green in local elections for now until democratic representives come back into party values.
Spineless twerps aren't getting a penny from us.

What do you all think of the spineless performance of our democratic representives recently?
Are the dems dead for now? Do you think Dean will help then stand up to the neocons and the rove propaganda machine finally?
Or is he just looking to stick his hand in the corprate pork barrel like the rest of them?

I agree, the democrats are dead and spineless...But I'll be voting Republican, not Green ;)

I understand, I was a Democrat. I didn't like Clinton and became a Republican! You could too!

So you want the democratic party to move completely left and lose even more seats in DC?

I thought you were reffering to his scream incident, my bad it was just a half-assed jab at me.
I do not think expecting representitives of a party to stand up for themselves and not just rolling over and dying to be over the top.
Either party screwing up and doing this is bad for all of us.
I guess I am the only one here with the fortitude left to talk sh1t about it. or people feel uncomfortable about these things around critics.
I figured someone to at least pop in and tell me i'm a jerk or something or maybe even talk about it....oh well!
I will save constructive criticism opinions for DU or my girlfriend or something then.
I really thought there were a few more progressives on this board willing to get their hands dirty :(

Yeah, if Democrats are gonna be GOP Lite, I am just gonna stay home. I would rather give my vote and money to losers than phonies.

ST, If they see the left getting more and more disenfranchised hopefully they will wake up soon.
Either that or cast the DINO flotsam off for the GOP feeding frenzy and get us a legitimate representative party in power again.
I am sure there are a few more in here getting fed up with being made a fool of by the gop lite.
Who's going to step up next? We dish it out to the repugs daily but who else is confident enough to call a spade a spade?
Not pissed yet? You should be! your ideals are being subverted right under your nose. Realizing this is the first step to getting these guys out in both parties!

Personally i am tired of the timetable talk. it really does not matter anymore. We have to stay there until we have fixed the mess Bush started. We cannot leave until Iraq is stable. With insurgencies, Sunni election boycotting, and endless societal issues we have to deal with it is not possible to put any timetable on these things. I don't like the fact that we are there anymore than you do. But fact is we are there and there is nothing we can do other than fix the mess we made and then learn from the lesson.

That's how I want you to think. BTW, you guys fail to realize that the two parties are more alike than they are different. If they started listening to the kooks on the fringe of their party, they'd be footnotes of history. Don't get frustrated because "dumb" Bush is running circles around your reps and they don't know what to do. Face it, unlike Bill Clinton, Bush is on the offensive, aggressively, and he'll continue to be until he leaves office in 2009. If you democrats can't handle it and start crying or complaining that your party is turning to GOP-lite, then stay the phvk out of the kitchen. This is politics and it can be very unforgiving.

Want to help your party? Think of ideas that will counter the President's rather than just saying NO.

Unfortunately, Colin Powell was right with his "You broke it, you bought it" reference wrt Iraq. We did, and now it's ours, a near perfect tarbaby. There is no timetable, and never will be, can't be, all things considered. Such is merely wishful thinking, although we'll eventually declare victory and leave, no matter what the truth is...

Which is as the Admin intended- it's a distraction from and an addendum to the massive fiscal fraud being perpetrated on the voters...

Actually, I think you are the goal post on the left side here. Don't feel hurt if not so many aren't quite out there with you. Most libs and cons actually orbit someplace near the center.

Considering a McCain manager is going to the DLC, I think your comment about them is correct. Dean will have his work cut out for him, that's for sure.

I'd love to see our troops load up today and head home and leave it all to the Iraqis but I know that would be a dream-come-true for the likes of Zarqawi, al Qaeda, and other groups prone to terrorism. The flow of materials and personnel across the borders into Iraq and Syria would be a constant stream. The world would certainly be in much greater danger.

No...like was posted above, Bush broke it now he owns it. What a dumbass...short-sighted foreign policy....yay!
