Probably a hunter changing forms. Hope it was horde.

Noob; obviously you don't know the difference between a hunter and a druid!

EPIC FAIL!

A cougar in an urban environment (that is therefore not afraid of humans) is EXTREMELY dangerous. I don't think some of the posters appreciate how vicious they can be. The police killed it as quickly as they could, but it took several hits.

Good, one less cougar.

I have killed six in the last 7 years, they are extremely thick around here. The state is trying to trap and eliminate 3,000 of them on their current program, but they love it when a hunter can save them the trouble.

First off, your a red neck ass for taking an innocent creatures life. We need certain things like this to keep our population in check. Wars, viruses, plagues, and wild mountain cats are fine by me.

It is not innocent at all. They enemy combatants in my local forest, and I had tags legally giving me the right to take one each and every time.

I am going to continue to kill every single one I see as well, same goes for coyotes, and any ground burrowing squirrel. I go looking for them every weekend, and I will probably go more frequently now in your honor.

By the way, I tommorrow I am going out to kill a turkey. If I kill one, I will be thinking of you. 😉

Ouch...Maybe start a "animals killed in the name of Zeppelin" thread?

Could list the date, location killed and provide a pic?

nm... bad idea....

Because that is what you do with pests.

Even pests should be dispatched quickly and painlessly. They're just trying to survive like anybody else.

Shooting it is about as quick and painless as you can get. What do you expect them to do, jump on its back and hold a chloroform-soaked rag over its nose, and then take it to the hospital to have the anesthethiologist put it to sleep, all at massive cost to the taxpayer and taking several cops off the streets for hours?

You must be the biggest pussy on ATOT. Like most of us here, I could totally take on, like, 10 cougars at once using only my left pinky. And that's if I wanted them all dead, it'd be even easier to just fight them off.

It's good to know that if the CPD can't don't anything about kids getting shot seemingly everyday on the west side, they can at least take down a cougar on the north side.

Would you say that if your wife or child was attacked by a cougar? Idiot.

Yea, fucking pigs. They should have lured him into a cage with a mouse and a bowl of milk. It's just a cat right?

By quickly and painlessly I meant shooting it accurately enough to hit a vital organ and drop it (like it's hot). Maybe that's asking too much though.

excessive force. the cougar was obviously walking away and didn't pose a threat. he could have used non-lethal means and shot him in the leg or something.

Were you the same person yesterday who said they should've shot the korean kid in the leg? IT'S NOT THAT EASY WHEN THEY ARE MOVING.

Well, cougars are rare around here. Animal control could have easily dealt with it. And yes, stupid fucking cops. Just like the stupid fucking cop who came out to my parent's house when I was in middle school to take care of a sick racoon. He shot it with new armor piercing rounds the dept. had just got. Eight shots. Eight AP rounds straight into the ground right next to the house. Good thing the gas and electric lines were three feet to the right (literally).

I don't have high opinions of the ability of any cop to deal with animals.

You should hear the animal rights activists going nuts over how the CPD didn't do enough to safely secure the animal as opposed to killing it. I don't think they have a protocol for wild animals running around residential neighborhoods.

Animal Rights activists are too stupid to know that only a licensed large animal vet, game warden or similar is allowed to shoot tranqs; since the type, age and size of the animal influences the type of tranq used and dosage.

This is why zoos shoot-to-kill dangerous escaped animals when the vet isn't available soon enough.
