I apologize if this is a repost, I did several searches and came up empty except for an old $100 off Sony card deal.

Link to $150 off deal

Apply for the Sony credit card, then order an item that is $299 or up from Sony Style online store. You get the following:

Free shipping
12 months no interest
$150 credit

Obviously there are many things you could order with this deal, but two of the most popular will probably be:

Sony BDP-S350 Blu-Ray Player - $300 ($150 + tax after credit)

Sony PlayStation 3 80GB - $400 ($250 + tax after credit)

I just applied, got approved instantly online (they give you the CC# right then) and ordered the Blu-Ray player. My net cost should be $171 after tax and credit. The credit does not show up on the order however, it will be applied later on the CC.

Damn, that's tempting. But I'm just not the type of people who open a new CC for a 1 time discount and never use the CC again. $150 is a lot of savings though...

Also note that if you buy through the Sony Style store you get 5x the reward points. For the $400 PS3 that's 2000 points. Almost enough for a free remote for the PS3 or a movie.

They also occasionally run a deal where you get a free controller tossed in.

Last year I got the 80 gig bundle for $350 (after rebate), a free second controller, and free shipping. I made a few large purchases to get an extra 2000 points on there and got a free PS3 game (Hot Shots Golf) to make it even sweeter.

No annual fee? 12 months to pay off something with no interest is nice, especially when you get a $150 discount. I'm interested in some of their semipro HD video cameras. This might be a good way to finance one.

Ugh, so tempting.

I managed to get my hands on a BNIB Sony BDP350 for $140 cash through Craigslist, but $150 + tax is a very good retail deal. I've been impressed with the performance; would make an excellent Xmas gift for the parents...

I bit. Got the BDP-S350, $150 for a decent player was just too good for me to pass on. I'd of gotten the PS3 but I think I would lose my life if I got yet another console.

Not to thread crap but

BE AWARE: The new 80gb systems DO NOT play PS2 Games.

That being said..if you just want a PS3 w/ blue ray players and don't care about PS2 games..this is a sweet deal!

This is still on..ugh..if I had an HDTV, I'd be sold- but I don't have one yet! Is the price expected to drop for the holidays, or is $250 for a PS3 the best we'll see for a while yet?

I just got the Blu-Ray player today, but I haven't had a chance to hook it up yet. I've got Iron Man and Batman Begins ready to spin though. :)

This deal is still good by the way. However, one warning - the geniuses at Sony Style did not ship the player double-boxed, so I had this package that was clearly labeled SONY Blu-ray Disc all over it sitting on my porch. Fortunately it's a good neighborhood.

Wow, I got my $150 credit already, before even the first credit card billing cycle (though it doesn't matter since you get 12 months no interest). This was a sweet deal, and it's still available.

I think it's even stranger that the new 160 GB PS3 bundle coming out next month also is not backwards compatible with the PS2. You think they could have let it have the software type BC with the expensive model.

Edit: I think it's a different offer number

So a friend was telling me there is a clause that restricted him from getting his $150 credit.

I understand Pheran has received his, but has anyone else?

this deal is NOT dead. The deal on fatwallet for the sony "rewards" card is dead. The "Sony Card" is different from the "Sony Rewards Card". The Sony Rewards card deal was a little better because you could use it for at amazon and combine it with a deal the have going on to get $100 off when you get 4 Blu-ray dvs. Its still a damn good deal. I just got a PS3. I don't play games but the PS3 is one of the best Blu-Ray players and it can stream content from your pc (which was one of the big +) of the PS3. I also ordered the bluetooth remote. The only negative i can see with the PS3 really is it cant pass HD audio via bitstream only PCM which isn't that big of a deal unless you get mad that your TRUEHD light doesn't show on your receiver...either way your going to be listening to TRUEHD.

Oh yes you have to also use ebates when you do this offer because you will get an extra 4% off which almost made up for the taxes.

Peace,
Ncage

Thanks NCage,

So, I did get the Sony Card, during the 150 off deal.. does this mean i have to use it at sonystyle to get the 150 off 299 purchase? Or can I use it for the amazon deal? I was about to purchase the amazon deal, which is awesome, but if the card will not apply the 150 because I did not buy from sonystyle, then i will not do it.

Thank you.
