I fully support the officers, and I truly wish they could pull an instant execution on asshats like that.

- GIVE UP! THIS IS MADNESS!

I love how the annoying announcer makes it sound like the cop is a hero for overreacting and ditching his own car.

Weak, even today's M3s have far more power. My friend totally lost the cops in his M3 on I-280. He had a picture of him hitting 167, and had to be pulled over by helicopter in the end.

Are you saying that your friend was in a high speed police chase, and he took the time to take a picture of his speedometer?

Heres the story

LMA -- A 15-year-old boy arrested Wednesday after leading deputies on a chase that reached speeds up to 125 mph was charged Friday in Wabaunsee County with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and felony obstruction of duty.

Albert Ciesla also was charged with reckless driving, evading and eluding, speeding 125 mph in a 70 mph zone, illegal lane change, failure to stop and illegal U-turn, said Wabaunsee County Attorney Craig Spomer.

The pursuit started on Interstate 70 in the downtown Topeka area when a Shawnee County deputy tried to stop a black BMW for a traffic violation about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. The driver went west on I-70, and the deputy was joined by officers from the Kansas Highway Patrol and Wabaunsee County sheriff's department.

At times, the driver made a U-turn in the highway median, left I-70 and returned to it, and once went east on I-70 in the westbound lanes. Sheriff Dave Meneley said the motorist swerved toward the Shawnee County deputy, causing him to swerve into the median. Ciesla was apprehended after leaving the car.

Shawnee County deputies, who crossed the Wabaunsee County line while driving in hot pursuit, brought Ciesla to Topeka, where he was placed in the Shawnee County Youth Center.

During a detention hearing Friday to determine whether to continue holding Ciesla or release him, Shawnee County District Judge Charles Andrews gave Wabaunsee County authorities until 5 p.m. Friday to pick up Ciesla before Shawnee County authorities would release him

40 mins of searching that I will never get back :)

The kid got away, I read that his father made him confess when he got home. The kid learned control of the car at BMW SCCA events because his father was an instructor. For 350hp, the Camaro let the bimmer get some distance...

I thought that looked awfully familiar. Either he got away, or it was editing by someone who didn't quite know what they were doing.

It happens on other shows. On "Planet Earth," I heard two factual errors. The one that comes to mind is that lava comes from Earth's core. Core, mantle, whatever, they're all the same, right?:Q

And he did this why?

Too bad that idiot wasn't killed when the Police car hit him at the end of the pursuit.

That is ridiculous stuff. BMW's are known for a 5-10% discrepancy in speedometer accuracy. So your friend could have been doing anywhere from 150-159, still impressive, but also still stupid.

That was awesome! I let out a loud yell when they rammed that son of a bitch. I would have done the same thing.

The guy was shooting at them.
I'd want to kill him before he killed me, which probably what the officer was saying before the creative editing.

True, but other statements like "i just wanted him to experience the feeling of bullets flying his way" make that officer seem to have quite an unprofessional attitude!

Also, the driver's job wasn't to kill him, it was to apprehend him, seems like he's letting his personal feeling get in the way of his job. What did he hope to accomplish by crashing into him at ~60mph?

Disarming him. He was shooting at them. Would it be better if they got into another gunfight with him? Someone would probably die.

That cop was way too gung-ho. He intentionally crashed his cruiser into the suspect's car which broke his fellow officer's leg.

His comments did strike me as unprofessional, but I have no problem with the ramming at the end. He shot at the police. Once you do that, don't expect them to play nice.

The guy was getting out of the car with a gun in his hand, and he had shot at them previously. Is there any way he could have stopped the car and provided both of them with cover as they got out of the cruiser? I think the way the chase ended was pretty close to the best possible outcome. There were a few injuries, but nobody died.
