Interesting, I don't smoke, but Outside providence and Slackers are on my top stoner movie list.

I like 10-11 of those flicks. Not a bad list, but I feel like they're missing a lot of other movies stoners may like more, or perhaps, younger stoners may appreciate. Those movies are "fairly old."

i don't understand why traffic is on there. one, it's a good movie. two, it's about the war on drugs, not doing drugs. three, it is far above the average stoner intelligence level, which isn't high to begin with (pun not intended).

And why would they describe someone as a "penultimate stoner character" (Fast Times at Ridgemont High)? So he was the second most recent stoner character? Or did they mean "ultimate" instead of "penultimate"? Did stoners write this article?

Actually, given the choices, it seems that the article was written by people who have never gotten stoned and who don't know anyone who has been stoned.

#15 = Reefer Madness - Not true, this movie is a novelty for stoners to have seen once and make fun of for the rest of their lives. We certainly don't love this movie.

#14 = Easy Rider - Maybe old stoners but again, mostly untrue.

#13 = Clockwork Orange - this is more like a movie for those who drop acid, too intense for stoners.

#12 = The Harder they come - I talked to half a dozen stoners just now and none of them knew what this was.

#11 = Up in smoke - first movie to be 100% accurate, stoners love this movie.

#10 = Fast times at ridgemont high - another accurate portrayal of a stoner movie.

#09 = Scarface - everyone likes this movie, being a stoner is irrelevant.

#08 = Dazed and confused - another true story braah.

#07 = Pulp Fiction - true, but again - everyone loves this movie. Being a stoner is irrelevant to liking it.

#06 = Friday - mostly true, but more true for minority stoners.

#05 = Half baked - a true classic, an even truer stoner classic.

#04 = The Big Lobowski - again very true and a stoner cult classic.

#03 = Traffic - not true, whatever.

#02 = Harold and Kumar go to White Castle - indeed, yes indeed.

#01 = Pineapple Express - definitely true but should NOT be in front of Harold and Kumar or Half Baked. This movie is simply not as classic as those. Or even maybe Up in Smoke.

Seems like they ran out of ideas toward the end of the list as a lot of them are simply untrue after #10

I cannot take seriously, any stoners movie list, that excludes or omits Heavy Metal.

I think they just picked a bunch of movies that had the word "drugs" in the description and just posted those...
