15 MbPS Internet in My House???

Verizon NY claims 15MbPS for their new system - fiber at the pole, some type of battery backup modem or interface in the house, NOT DSL!!!

Anybody trying this yet - it's the same price as cable modem (3MbPS downstream here)?
 
So a search on the forums for Verizon and FIOS. It most certaintly is true and the people who have it like it. 🙂 I would jump on it in a flash if it was available in my area.
 
FTTP - Fiber to the premesis. Get your internet, phone, and tv through one cable.

Hell, I wish I had even DSL...
