And "Iraqi People" absolutely hate freedom...
Some Iraqis in Falluja expressed delight at Sunday's attack.
"The Americans are pigs. We will hold a celebration because this helicopter went down - a big celebration," an Iraqi farmer near the crash site told Reuters news agency.
The downing of the helicopter was one of a number of attacks on US forces in Iraq on Sunday.
I am not sure who the "Iraqi people" are.
There are US citizens who justify whatever the US does, and if we nuked some small third world country, that's fine. Are they the "American people"?
Then there are those who want to withdraw all troops to the US borders and everything be damned. Are they the "American people"?
Fact is there are a great many perspectives in the US, yet there is a tendency to view people as two-dimensional or that they have to fit in some philosophical box they never heard of.
What do I think the "average" Iraqi wants? They want their country back, us out, and a stable government free from torture. Most just want to live a reasonably long and healthy life in the way they choose, and be left alone. The world over, people mostly want to be left alone, and leave others that way. Unfortunately, it is possible to get them worked up, and go off half cocked to do the damndest things. It's just how we are as humans.
