I don't understand how they are doing poorly. Maybe because people are more health-conscious now.

Can't say I will be sad to see Blockbuster go.

Blockbuster put my dad's video store out of business back in the day.

Back when my dad was stocking 30 copies of "Back to the Future III" Blockbuster was stocking 150 copies... :roll:

The issue is with the monumental debt the companies had to undertake in launching their business/satellites and paying for talent. Combined with the long drawn out merger and the upcoming deadlines on the debt, SiriusXM is in a tight spot.

It was slow to start, but SiriusXM has almost 20 million subscribers now (18.9 million in Q3 2008), so I wouldn't say that apparently not a whole lot of people care, nor that it is hard to get people to pay for something that's free.
