15% Cashback @ TigerDirect

I was able to get 15% cash back by searching for "TigerDirect" at Bing.com's shopping section. Brings the price of 5870s down to around ~$355 after cashback, might be some other hot deals too.

I guess for those whom are looking they seem to have alot of cards in stock at the moment. Not sure which ones it'll work on for the bing cashback.

The following are in stock as I typed this.

HD 5850's
HD 5870's
HD 5970's

GTX 480's
GTX 470's

I was able to get it to work on all the 5870s they stock, including the XFX with its double lifetime warranty. Brought the total to around 355 with shipping.

TD and BCB are a good combination for most to save except for those in states that they charge tax in like Fl, TX, IL and NC I believe. Also, their shipping charges are sometimes excessive.

Just a heads-up. Saw this last night, but some items were exempt from BCB. Looks like they're closing all the deal loopholes (such as BCB not being available with other offers). I tried it on the WD 2TB for $99AR, plus the $40AR 320GB external HDD and some other item. Looks like just non-deal items are available for BCB.

Also, TD got rid of their free ground shipping.

Are you sure about TX? I don't think I have paid tax for any of my previous orders with them.

I noticed that too when trying to take advantage of the $99AR 2TB deal. Let me just say that sucks donkey balls.

Yeah, they have a presence down in Dallas/Ft Worth area, if I recall, so you should have.

This is why, whenever I see a good deal at TD, I check Circuit City's website. Same store, really, and usually the same deals, but no B&M stores, so no sales tax! :awe:

Last I checked, Circuit City does charge sales tax for states where Circuit City stores were before the B&M shut down. Texas is one of those states (I used to live there).

Strange. I just checked the invoices of my last three transactions there, one in last February and the other two in March. None of them had any tax on them ($0.00 for tax). Maybe I should check my bank statement to be sure 😱

It's easy to check ... just go on TD and order something. When you get to the final page it will give you the choice of shipping method and should show you all additional charges (like tax) before you do a final checkout.

Yeah exactly, it says $0.00 right there just like I said for all three orders I have had with them in the past 2 years or so. Maybe I am lucky? 😀

Except that all those B&M stores are now closed, so they no longer have a presence. When CC was it's own company, then yes, they charged sales tax. Now they're strictly online, so far as I know.

To put this to bed I searched TD's website and found this:

"Only orders that are shipped to addresses in Florida, North Carolina, and Illinois are subject to state sales tax. Sales tax is charged on the products purchased and also on the shipping and handling amount."

The last time I checked (last Christmas) TD was charging tax in 4 states ... including Texas but apparently they have pulled out of the state ... so good for you. I would buy from TD except for the sales tax (I live in Florida). The extra charge effectively nullifies the BCB (and the shipping charges of course) for me.

I tried an SSD, and the Cart indicated that product was NOT eligible for a BCB,

But you would get a $45 BCB on the AMD 1090t ($300+$4s/h-$45BCB), and BCB on a motherboard and RAM as well. Eg: MSI 890GXM-G65 = $130-$20BCB-$10 MIR+s/h

EDIT: "Old Hippie", below, posts that his SSDS purchase received the BCB. My subsequent tests show that each SSD I inquire about EXCEPT the Crucial RealSSD C300 256GB get the BCB. 'Apologies for any confusion my sampling produced!!! [Yes, the SSD I've just mentioned IS excluded from the BCB.]

That's strange.

I bought an Intel 80GB SSD two weeks ago and the 15% CB was good.

The drive was 197.32 w/free ship after CB.

OH is right: the SSD he mentions gets the BCB. In fact, all the SSDs I view get the BCB --EXCEPT-- the one I looked at earlier: the Crucial RealSSD C300 256GB!!!

Apologies for any confusion my too-small sample-size produced! :\
