On one hand, bonus points for early finish might be lost by downloading early, on the other, when downloading late there is a bit of computation time lost while the GPU is idle waiting for the WU to download. I'm not sure how we would tell if this mod is helping ppd or not...?
Depending on GPU and your upload and download speed it makes a difference. As far as how much, I have no clue due to each persons machine. I do know if you watch a downloaded WU before it starts and the prior is completing, you can watch the points decrease on the one waiting.

If need be, I can back off on production to the 4.5m PPD for the TeAm race. I roughly totaled the "estimated PPD" from my machine and come up with 14.7m PPD. Might be a little over the "projected" PPD 😳
I will also be swapping some over to the PG challenge when the time comes.

Your Folding username is also JasonLD correct? I'll add you to one of the teams this morning. Thanks for joining the race. 🙂

Ah, Yeah, it is same as my forum username. 🙂 I was going to edit my previous post to provide my username but forgot about it. :astonished:

Nice Rig Jason. 24/7 your looking more like 2.3-2.5M ppd 🙂
A little lower if windows . I think we need him on Team 1 😉

Oh, I had forgotten, I have Process Lasso on this PC. I just set the FahCore21.exe, and FahCoreWrapper to "AboveNormal" priority, and all of my Firefox instances to "AboveNormal", and I think that I'm good to go with mining in the background at "Normal" priority.

WHOA!!!

After adjusting process priority of FahCore21.exe and FahCoreWrapper..exe to "AboveNormal", it was reporting 1.8M PPD for this GTX 1660ti!

Hmm, now it's dropping down again. Apparently, it was a fluke? Maybe from resuming a previous WU (I rebooted in the middle of one).

Don't worry Mark, half their team will be going to PG for 10 days. ;-)

In other news...I literally had to download an AdBlock browser to view the site on my phone. The full page "moving ads" are ridiculous!

Maybe we should have a committee with 2 members from each team to decide when and if the teams should be re balanced.
