Interesting, I may look into that... is it like giving blood, or more painful?

Its more painfull but that that bad. I use to do it to pay for my computer upgrades so I wouldn't have to spend my work money. The first time you go in it takes forever cause you have to have a physical but after that it takes about an hour. They take out your blood and extract the plasma from it and then pump the blood back in along with some saline. Feels funky cause its cold. They usually have Tv all over the place for you to watch while its going on.

Oh one thing they do is make you come twice a week to get the big bucks. They will do something like $15 on first visit and $35 on second and has to be withen 7 days of first visit.

Ouch... $200 for an hour, or $200 for several hours over the course of the month? I have a pretty low pain tolerance... *shivers* How much blood do they take/put back in?

To be honest if you want loads of money, strpping pays the best out of everything. But I guess you're not that desperate for money yet ;p

So I've heard... but no, even if my car completely conked out I wouldn't resort to that. :p Private shows for my hubby only... :) BTW, nice xanga!

Is anyone in a similar boat, or have suggestions regarding jobs I can look for evenings/on weekends?

What I've come up with so far:

-Dog-walker (apparently services charge $20/walk!)
-SAT tutor (this will also help me prepare for the GRE)
-Telemarketer (would really rather not due this :\ )
-EBay seller (what I'd sell I'm not quite sure - maybe old clothes or buying/reselling?)

And NO, stripping/hanging out on streetcorners are not options! :p

Shoot, you took out your best option right there.
If you're serious about making extra money, waiteressing is your best option.
Without experience, here is what you do.
Get a job at a busy restaurant(more expensive the better) as a hostess.
Any of them will hire you as a hostess for the weekend.
Then when you're working there long enough(2-3 months) start learning about waiteressing psotition, then when theres an openning, ask for it.
Its how people get into the position with no experience. Thats how I got to be a server.

Serving is probably the best way to make extra money beside stripping and hooking. You should make $200-300 on those 2 extra days. Good work if you can find it.
Of course, you can always work for McDonalds on the weekend. I'll hire you but we pay $7/hr :)

in that case don't do it. You make about $40-60 per week (2 donations, ~1hr each), but if you have a low pain tolerance it's not for you.

What you COULD do is form your own "escort service", and then when the guys take you back to their rooms after a night at the club say "Whoa whoa whoa...our contract says I have to ESCORT you, but NOTHING about sex!"

Hah, it might work a couple of times...be sure you can run though.

Great advice, CTrain! I might try that.. do hostesses make tips, or is it just kind of a "foot in the door"? Thank you very much... and thanks, but I'm gonna have to pass on McD's. ;)

Does it really hurt that much more? Ive given blood and plasma and other then the initial tiny burst of discomfort there isnt any pain. The finger prick that they use to test for iron levels hurts more then the needle to me. Do you weigh more then 110?(thats min weight for giving blood) It may be more for giving plasma though.

SAT tutoring seems good if you get enough hours. It's usually on weekends too though. Pays 15/hour I think, but you do need to be qualified.

Private tutoring pays well, $25+, if you can find jobs. My neighbor with a BS does it and charges $30/hr. Best thing is it's all cash. Hard part is finding the jobs.
