Hey guys, I have one of the Asus 144hz monitors set up as my main display with a regular 60hz Ausus as a secondary ones. Whenever I set the refresh rate under screen resolution menu to 120 or 144hz, certain Youtube videos and some applications I run cause the main monitor to go black with stripes across the whole monitor. The only way I have found to work around that is to alt-f4 my internet browser or to do a reboot if that doesn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. PS I have a 7970 for a video card.

To begin with that's a very off set combination for one registry to write under Windows. You might get away with it using two video cards. I would not attempt it unless you reduce the 144Hz Monitor to 60 Hz or the maximum of what the other monitor can do.

So if I understand correctly, 2 monitors at vastly different refresh rates on one video card do not get along. Am I in the ballpark here?

Who, in their right mind runs Aero. Navigation is totally a GUI distraction and eats resources.

However; how ugly it looks, I've not problems with it and don't use it - PERIOD - I prefer the Classic Win95 look.

But that's not his problem.
