1440p: 25 or 27 inch screen?

32" is 90DPI, most people would prefer 100-110. So 27-29"

I ended up with the 27" Dell. I don't regret it...27" is pretty much the right size - any more would be too much, I think. 25" would be slightly too small.

I'm still using a Dell U2711 - 27 inches, 1440p. After getting my eyes "upgraded" recently with a Lasik procedure, I can actually see the grain. So this means I'll be looking for a 4k 27 inch or 30 inch.

When I first went to a 27 inch monitor I remember thinking it's huge. But now, I don't think I could go back to a smaller monitor. Hope you enjoy yours!

I just got a 27inch 1440p Dell and the upgrade from 1080p is astounding. I can't believe I waited this long to get a 1440p monitor. This thing is beautiful.

This same question op bugged my mind for well over a week,i was torn between the cheap Acer 25'' and a Qnix QX2710 27''.I did some ppi testing and found i could only handle the ppi of a 27'.

I decided since i originally gave thought to a 27'' and 1440p being the only logical choice for a 27'',it really was the only option to go for.No regrets yet.

The size of the screen isn't a issue,there isn't really any games the 1440p resolution gives issues too.Glad my game library isn't extensively huge cause my 2gb gtx660 seems to hold up with what i play reasonably well.🙂

DPI on a 25" is 117, DPI on a 27" is 108. You're talking about 9DPI difference.

You would be VERY hard pressed to even notice it at normal viewing distances.

Maybe but text just happens to be readable on a 27''. Found it got a bit to small at 117.They have 24'' 1440p monitors and hardly no one talks about those.Many complaints i saw on text on the 24-25'' monitors and trust me i nearly considered one of those as options.

The selling point still for me is a 27'' monitor that isn't 1080p,yet not 4k. Anything bigger then 32'' should be 4k but a 32'' 1440p panel would be nice but not twice the price of a 27'' kind of nice.

Glad you could read it just fine,my wife can't even use my monitor half the time cause the text according to her is small but her sight isn't so good.Mine is pretty decent but even i squint sometimes.

Still,$10 cheaper then the Acer 25'' that is on Newegg/Amazon and i get 27''.It may be a Qnix but its a beauty🙂 I just need to wall mount it.😀

Buy the BenQ 32 1440 refurbished from the BenQ site when you can get it. You might need a little more graphics power to drive it (You'll need a displayport on your PC), but it has the pixel density of a 24" 1900x1200 with 150% more pixels. I paid 343 delivered from the BenQ Store. I'm driving it fine with my Lenovo T450

I got a 27 inch Asus Rog and its great. You cant really see individual pixels which I what I want in the 21st century. I'd rather focus on the images themselves.

For photo editing you can always zoom in to find a pixel.
