Mbest MB279QR144 QHD
https://www.ebay.ca/itm/US-Mbest-MB...541375?hash=item33ec1b41bf:g:wQUAAOSwWupa0HQY
Has the AUO AHVA/IPS Screen.
Response: 3ms
Brighness: 350 cd/m2
Angle: 178/178

I own one and love it ;o)

You require a HBR2 or HBR3 DP cable to do 144Hz @ 2560x1440p , around 17000 GB/s same as 8K @ 60Hz without tearing above 60Hz with a GPU having a DP v1.2 or better. The Club 3D CAC-2068 DP Cable works for me.

Those two seem to be the best:

Asus PG279QZ (updated version of PG279Q)
Acer XB271HU

The Asus is reportedly using a newer panel, but the specs are the same:

IPS
1440p
144Hz (overclock to 165hz)
Gsync
4ms response time

Cableman: NOTE - He said FreeSync - That means he has an AMD GPU and if you want 165 Hz or 244Hz means you require a GPU that will do it in 2K.

Fortunately I'm running an original AMD Radeon R9 290X with a DP 1.2 Port on a Asus P8Z68-V Pro Gen3 with an I7 2700K @ 4.8 GHz's that runs flawless 2k at 144Hz .

The offering I'm suggesting is rather then a 1ms TN Panel that he invest in a 3ms IPS Panel - Guaranteed - He will not regret it for $300 USD (Guarranteed no dead Pixels) from DreamSeller on eBay.

I've playing around with 2560x1440p QHD IPS Panels since the $300 QNIX 2710 and guess what I've 2 of them. They still work great and have the BEST Color I've ever seen on a Samsung PLS-IPS screen but they will not do much more then 85Hz OC's before tearing.

He actually didn't specify that he wants FreeSync, what he listed are the specs for the C27HG70, which he bought. The only specs listed as required are 1440p, 144hz and 27 inch.

What's really great about having a HBDr3 Dp cable is that your GPU can run close to 5C lower Temps without Tearing Crap (Pending you're on Air or Water).

I normally idle my mBest at 1440p 120Hz.

As far as setting up the , 1st In OSD menu with a mBest Monitor is to select 98% Brightnes, User Defined Color and can reach 99% RGB with UFO Tests ;o)

If want more buy a PIXIO PX277 for $100 more - Same screen but with a few more extra's.

From my experience if you want G-Sync go ahead and pay $200 more for a Display and $300 more for a GPU to do the same thing that Free-Sync does.

looks pretty, i dont know why but i think im going to buy and try 144hz gaming. i have been using 60hz 4k for the longest time now but this lcd looks like a good one to test out. no bezzel i wonder what other "extras" the pixio has and how long it will last me.
