144 hz frameskipping

Indus

Lifer
I just recently bought my very first 144hz monitor.. the Acer Predator XB1YU.

However I'm getting occasional frame skips and micro stutter.

I thought it was windows 10 installation since it was old and laggy, so I reformatted.. and it helped a lot but I still get it occasionally.

When I use google chrome ufo 144 hz frame test.. it shows browser sync failed and frame skipped.. How do I fix this? Is it my monitor to blame or something else?

Any suggestions?

Do you have a monitor driver/.inf that needs to be installed? Is Windows set to 144hz on that monitor? What CPU and GPU do you own?

Yes I have a monitor driver inf from acer. Windows is set at 1440p/ 144hz.

GPU is GTX 1070, CPU Ryzen 5 1600.
