140mm exhaust fan keeps going bad

I have a 140mm Aero Cool Blue Shark mounted to the back of a Cooler Master HAF-X. It just recently started making grinding noises. This isn't the first one I had in there. I had another 140mm Aero Cool Blue Shark in there and it did the same thing. I find it odd since these fans are supposed to last a very long time. Could it be that the fans on my CPU cooler are causing this to happen? Here's a photo of what it looks like:

As you can see, the 120mm fans on the Prolimatech Megahalems are situated lower than the 140 exhaust fan. Could the air from these fans cause the exhaust fan to become slightly unstable leading it to die early?

HOLY SHIZZZ

NICE RIG D: D: D:

EDIT: Your theory is most likely right. The difference between CFMs could cause negative pressure which would damage the bearing on the fan

I'm thinking of getting another 140mm fans and just removing the pull fan from the Megahalems. See how that goes for a while.

Does your HAF have the dual upper fans? If so it doesn't seem like you'd need the 140mm anyways. Does the 140mm even expel much heat?

i know what you mean adamk47. i have the haf 912 and the back fan is offset as well. i recently switched the fan cuz i noticed the fan developed a slight knocking noise like its unbalanced. i now have a fan controller throttling down two scythe kaze maru fans on my heatsink to lower speeds than the exhaust fan.

The 140mm exhaust fan works really well. I can feel a lot of hot air being moved out of the case quickly when stressing using LinX AVX.

Hmmm, this actually worries me now that I have my HAF 932 on the way...

But, this guy seems to have a valid point.
