Is it just me, or is 30 watts not enough for this wire to wire soldering? I could hold the iron on the wire for quite a while and the wire still won't melt the solder.
And one more question, before you guys actually solder, what do you do with the wires? I have heard that you open all the threads, and twist them OR you make two hooks, and hook them together then twist. The second pre-soldering twist seems to make too large of an area for solder, though.
