You don't need partition magic, there is a built in command line disk management utility outside of the one under the computer management mmc. You can extend the 5 or 10 gig part using this.

Had similar issue w/ my friends 180gb on 2k pro. it would show as a 128gb i think? ended up finding that u have to have sp3 and then add a key to the reg to enable the 48 bit..lba or whatever it was. doing that it worked. so you'll just have to make an additional partition of the extra space after you get sp and add the key. i'm not sure if the key is the same thing that xp needs though.. haven't dealt w/ it on there. just my exp w/ 2k pro.
