Well, I've been looking of pics of the X600 series of cards on retailer sites such as this one, and they all appear to have L-shaped memory. Does this mean the X600 cards in this configuration have 256bit memory?

Remember that the 9600s also have L-shaped memory and they all have 128bit memory buses.

Really...interesting.
So, does the L-shape configuration that indicates 256bit vs 128bit only apply for the high end line of cards, or is the L-shape just a misconception of an indication of memory bit-width (is that even a word? 😛) ?

*Edit*
Wow, just looked at the game bundle. That's an assload of games...

No. It's core (the 9600, 9600 pro, 9600XT, X600) is optimized for a 128 bit bus. There's no way in hell a company
would sell a card that has a higher clock speed than its highest end card (X800 line) with a memory bus of the same width.
Also, I highly doubt a card with a 256 bit-wide bus and 740 mhz ddr would have a mem. bandwidth of 11.8 Gb/s

Yeah, but it's got 4 pipes...where as the X800 line, at the moment, has a minimum of 12.
Anyway...I only gave GameVE as a link out of several that I found...go to pricewatch.com and look at all the sites offering the card. The pictures are all the same, just about.
